The intern for Company Secretariat (Legal) will provide company administrative services and legal administration support to WPP US subsidiaries, with opportunities to collaborate with and contribute to our global team.

Subsidiary Governance Support

This role ensures the statutory compliance of WPP's US subsidiaries through meticulous administration and proactive support.

Key Responsibilities:

Statutory Database Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date information in the GEMS database, including state qualification filings, appointment changes, and DBA registrations.

Annual Report Filings: assist with annual report filings for all US subsidiaries, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.

Data Integrity: Verify and validate critical data to maintain the integrity of statutory records.

Legal Transaction Support: Collaborate with the legal team to ensure seamless state qualification updates for newly merged entities.

Compliance Assurance: Contribute to ongoing activities that monitor and maintain compliance with relevant regulations.

Global Team

Support

As a member of the Legal and Global Company Secretarial team (lead out of the UK), global responsibilities include:

Supporting on global company secretarial requests including requests relating to KYC processes, POAs and GEMs statutory data updates
Proving ad-hoc support to the wider team as and when required

Desired Skills and Experiences:

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Corporate Law, Governance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

This is a paid internship position $20/h
The internship duration is twelve months, with the possibility of extension based on performance and business needs.
The intern will work in NYC at WPP’s headquarters campus.
The intern must be available to work approx 20 hours per week.
